Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa faced the wrath of her Malindi constituents after rowdy youths disrupted her rally and heckled her, prompting her to cut short her speech.
Chants of "Mama must go" rent the air as she took to the podium on Saturday, drowning her voice.
The visibly agitated youths were protesting Jumwa’s recent political decision to support DP William Ruto which could signal the end of her career in a region where ODM enjoys overwhelming support.

The MP is among several ODM legislators from the Coast who have declared support the DP in 2022.
"I have already made up my mind that I will support one William Ruto for the presidency in 2022," Jumwa declared.
Until recently, she was a vocal supporter of Raila Odinga and a darling of the Coast where the opposition enjoys massive following but has been warming up to DP Ruto’s candidature.
Although ODM leader Raila Odinga had promised not to punish party rebels, the constituents made their stand known, heckling her and telling her off.
Well-placed sources within ODM further revealed that plans are underway to discipline rebel ODM MPs, including Aisha Jumwa.
Reports indicate that ODM is keen on evicting her from the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) and Minority Whip in the National Assembly, Junet Mohammed had written to the speaker about the same.
Responding to the claims, Juma stated that “If Junet thinks he can threaten me, then let me send him a warning that I am unshaken and I am not a commissioner because of him but it's a right I deserve".
