Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has revealed the only thing that he can lose.

The vocal legislator whose election was nullified on Friday said that the only thing he can lose is his weight, but not an election.

“The only thing I can lose is my weight not elections.” Said Babu in a post on his Instagram account.

Speaking after the ruling that nullified his election, Babu said that he would appeal the decision and blamed President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto for the loss stating that they had interfered with the Judiciary.

“The whole nation knows that this is a war of the President and Deputy President against Babu Owino. I have opposed them and now they are fighting back. The President is controlling the judiciary,” said Babu.

In the Friday ruling Judge Sergon said that violence, irregularities marred the election in Embakasi East and substantially affected the results.

The judge nullified Babu's election after substantial evidence proved that he coerced and intimidated IEBC returning officer to declare him the winner.
