Maraga makes 1st decision on petition challenging Uhuru's win
The supreme court nullified Uhuru Kenyatta's win after the August 8th election.
The CJ directed that all respondents file their responses by 5PM on Sunday and their written submissions filed by Monday 5 PM, limited to 30 pages.
According to the Maraga, any party wishing to join the cases should do so by Monday midday, the final ruling on the repeat poll will be made by November 20th.
“The respondents should file and serve their responses to the petition together with their submissions within four days of service in accordance with rule 11 of the Supreme Court presidential election petition rules,” the CJ directed.Two petitions challenging Kenyatta's win have been filed ex-Kilome MP Harun Mwau and human rights activists Njonjo Mue and Khelef Khalifa.They argue that the repeat election should be nullified citing the 25 constituencies that didn't participate in the poll due to violence.

Another petition has been filed by the Institute for Democratic Governance against Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka for pulling out of the repeat poll.
The supreme court judges nullified the August 8 election in which Kenyatta's had been declared the winner by IEBC.
The judges cited illegalities and irregularities in the transmission of results from the constituencies to the Nation tallying centre and lack of verifying form 34B before announcing the final presidential results.
Maraga directed another election be held in 60 days and warned that he would nullify the repeat poll if it was not held in accordance with the constitution.
A few days to the presidential election, the Opposition leader pulled out stating that the IEBC had not met the irreducible minimums by NASA.
