NASA legislators defy Raila and Kalonzo

NASA legislators to hold meeting after defying Raila and Kalonzo

National Super Alliance (NASA) boss Raila Odinga has opened up for the first time and disclosed that his own senators went again his orders.

In an Interview with Nation, Raila disclosed that together with Kalonzo Musyoka, they prevailed upon the NASA senators not to oust Moses Wetangula but they went ahead and did so against his will.

“We had a lengthy meeting on Saturday with senators. We told them Wetang’ula is the only member of the NASA Summit who is also in Parliament, and that’s why we want him to remain the minority leader in the Senate.” Odinga said.

The opposition chief also clarified that the ouster of the Bungoma Senator as the Senate Minority leader was not in any way related to his famous handshake with the president.

Khalif Kairo and his former business partner Clement Kinuthia are locked in a heated exchange of accusations, with Kairo now alleging that Clement not only cheated on his wife but also had an affair with his (Kairo’s) girlfriend. The car dealer also revealed that he is currently single, but will introduce a new lady once he resolves the issues surrounding his business.

In the wake of these developments, a retreat is planned for the NASA senators to iron out their differences and possibly hand the seat back to Wetangula.

The ouster of Wetangula has seen politicians from Western Kenya unite against the opposition leader with the Bungoma senator declaring political war against Raila and vowing to teach him a lesson.

In a series of rallies held yesterday, Mudavadi and Wetangula urged the Luhya community to unite against Raila.

Analysts have opined that the NASA boss risks losing support from the populous Western Kenya vote block with two NASA principals from the region left out of the Raila-Uhuru deal and Wetangula losing his post in the Senate.
