The burial ceremony for Likuyani MP Enoch Kibunguchy’s bodyguard Douglas Wakacha Wabomba on Monday took a violent turn with several people sustaining bullet wounds.
Among those who were shot included Kabumboi Ward MCA Wafula Mulipuko, as well as a unidentified bodyguard attached to Tongaren MP Eseli Simiyu’s bodyguard.
Several other people were shot while other sustained injuries from the melee that forced police to use live bullets to disperse the chaotic ceremony.
