The legislator who had initially denied having attended a crucial meeting while drunk, has admitted to having a drinking problem.
He further blamed the situation on the devil, stating that he had fallen into temptation.
"Temptations are meant for every human being and are brought about by Satan and everyone can fall into temptations and I vow not to go back to such behavior again.
"It is time to work for the mwananchi (citizen). It is time to move on," he confessed urging his constituents to forgive him.
MP shows up drunk for meeting on anti-illicit brew initiative
MP Kimani was chased away by residents Elburgon, Molo Constituency after they noticed that the MP was struggling to speak clearly.
The youthful MP had arrived in the company of his aides and tens of his supporters and appeared to be staggering when he was received at the venue of the meeting.
He had, however, denied the claims that he was drunk posing the question on why he would be drunk on a weekday.
He was eventually led out of the meeting by police officers after residents refused to continue with the MP's drunk state.
