Waititu recently hired former Nacada boss, John Mututho
Mr Waititu said he has premised the success or failure of his leadership on the war against the brews, adding that if he fails, he will not be a worth leader.
Speaking at St James ACK Church Kanyariri in Kabete sub-county, he said nothing; including court battles would stop him from completely eradicating the killer brews from the county.
He said President Uhuru Kenyatta is fully behind his efforts to eliminate the illicit brews from the county.
“It is now or never. We must win the fight against the killer brews and save the youth and families from ruining their lives,” he said.

John Mututho
The governor’s sentiments come a day after he hired former National Authority for the Campaign Against Drug Abuse boss Mr John Mututho to oversee the illegal brew eradication program.
Mr Waititu revealed that he had already sued manufacturers of various alcoholic beverages whose products are alleged to have caused the deaths of their consumers.

Waititu tickled the gathering when he said he uses his perceived folly and lack of education to realise his mission and vision.
“People look at me and conclude that am not civilised or educated but I capitalise on the same to win my battles,” said Waititu.
Meanwhile, security agencies, National Authority for the Campaign Against Drug Abuse (Nacada) and the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) in Meru county have netted illicit brews worthy Sh2.5 million and arrested five suspects in a crackdown to eradicate the second generation brews in the area.
