Former President’s son robbed millions in posh Nairobi home

Police are investigating the matter

Former South Sudanese President John Garang’s son Mabior Garang on Tuesday fell victim to the rising insecurity in Nairobi after an armed gang broke into his home in Kilimani.

The gang of four made away with thousands of cash and jewellery reported to be worth millions of shillings.

Mabior, who is also the Water Services Minister in South Sudan, was not home when the armed robbers made their way into his house.

His wife and brother were not so lucky as they were threatened with a pistol before being tied with ropes as the robbers went on to steal Sh120,00 cash money as well as expensive gold watches and jewellery.

The Garang family has been living in Kenya since 2005 when the South Sudanese leader was killed in a helicopter crash.
