Governors, Senators and Members of County Assembly (MCAs) on Monday morning staged protests in Nairobi accompanied by hired traditional dancers.

The politicians peacefully marched in their formal suits from the Intercontinental Hotel to Supreme Court buildings as traditional dancers loudly sang traditional songs.

The protests to highlight their plight on division of revenue ended up with a march into the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) with governors using its main entrance while Senators broke through a barricade mounted by police officers on horse-back at the entrance facing City Hall.
