Renowned radio presenter given Cabinet job

Congratulations

Thang'wa, who has previously been a radio presenter at Gukena FM, will be the new CEC in charge of Roads, Transport, and public works.

Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu appointed the veteran broadcaster after he fired John Mugwe over what was described as "obsession with posting photos on Facebook.

Thang'wa is a close ally of Waititu as the two previously worked under the "United for Kiambu" coalition prior to the Jubilee nominations.

The radio presenter had unsuccessfully sought the Jubilee ticket to run for the senatorial seat - he lost to the current senator, Kimani Wamatangi.
