Raila misunderstood the message - Moses Kuria

Be warned!

The vocal lawmaker warned Odinga that the ambassadors were warning him to prepare for the International Criminal Court (ICC).

"I dont think Raila and his NASA sisters understood the statement from foreign envoys. It was a diplospeak version of asking them to be ready for the ICC.

"It was a thinly veiled way of telling them they will be treated as war criminals. This time we will welcome the ICC with a 21 gun salute and allocate them a whole floor at KICC for processing documents," Kuria stated

Envoys want Raila to recognise Uhuru as President

The controversial lawmaker backed the envoys' statement who urged Odinga to recognise Uhuru Kenyatta as President before any dialogue takes place.

"The Opposition needs to accept that Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto are the legitimate President and Deputy President of Kenya as the basis for the dialogue that it and many Kenyans want. Stoking and threatening violence is not acceptable, nor are extra-constitutional measures to seize power,” part of the statement by the diplomats read.

The envoys were led by US Ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec, together with ambassadors Anna Jardfelt (Sweden), Jutta Frasch (Germany), Sara Hradecky (Canada), Mette Knudsen (Denmark), Alison Chartres (Australia) among others.

Raila responds to envoys

In a rejoinder, Odinga stated that the ambassadors had no moral authority to make any demands to the Opposition after witnessing electoral injustice in the country.

“The envoys have no moral authority to lecture Kenyans on democracy and rule of law after aiding electoral theft in the August polls,” Odinga stated.
