Itumbi shared the recordings after a section of netizens raised issues with his interpretation of the resolutions and discussions at the meeting in which he roped in opposition leader Raila Odinga.
In his characteristical way, Itumbi took a swipe at Odinga in what was widely circulated on Twitter as the Sagana Declaration but whose source and authenticity cannot be verified.
Quoting the President, Itumbi wrote: “I am still in Jubilee. As Jubilee we had a candidate in Kibra. Even when I speak to the old man (read @Raila Odinga) we do not talk about how he will rise politically. We only talk about peace…”.
One Abdullahi alleged that Itumbi’s version of the Sagana Declaration was a fake version, alluding to the fake DP Ruto assassination letter in which Itumbi was named.
According to Itumbi, the president reiterated his commitment to Jubilee party and reminded the attendants of that he knows what he said about future elections and does not need to be reminded of the same.
It is not clear how the recordings were made as reports indicate that the over 4000 guests were barred from carrying phones and other recording electronics which were left at the search area.
Speakers at the event were also reportedly instructed to use the vernacular languages of Gikuyu, Kiembu, and Kimeru while addressing the gathering.
Below are the recordings as shared by Itumbi.
