Jubilee MPs from both team Tangatanga and Kieleweke declare their stand on Raila's super-alliance

News of a super-alliance being crafted by Raila made headlines this week, prompting the MPs to declare their stand

Newspaper headlines this week a possible alliance

Jubilee MPs from both team Tangatanga and Kieleweke have broken their silence on news about a super alliance crafted by Raila Odinga that has been making headlines.

Odinga who is keen on wrestling the Rift Valley and Central Kenya vote blocks from Deputy President William Ruto who is the man to beat in the race to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta is reportedly working on a game plan that will bring on board notable politicians and has already unsettled DP Ruto’s camp who have swung into action.

Taking to Facebook, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro who is a staunch supporter of DP Ruto expressed surprise at the developments in what signals the discomfort in the DP Ruto camp.

“Haiya.. Hii maneno imefika hapa? Kumbe campaigns zimeanza na sisi bado tumekwama kwa Agenda 4? We are African and Africa is our Business. (This is how the issue has advanced. Campaigns (for 2022) is already in progress yet we are still in the Big four agenda. We are African and Africa is our Business)” Nyoro wrote.

Nyoro is not the only one who is irked by heightened activities in the pro handshake camp.

Elgeyo Markwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen recently took to Twitter after the activities of the women leaders allied to Odinga and Uhuru caught his attention, alleging that it amounted to premature 2022 campaigns.

Nyeri town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu labelled the headline as “interesting speculation” affirming that at the moment he only supports President Uhuru Kenyatta but will support Raila Odinga should Uhuru tell him to do so.

"INTERESTING SPECULATION ...But of course the only way am going to join Raila Odinga is if Uhuru Kenyatta were to tell me to do so. Till then am #UhuruPekee #Kitaeleweka" Wambugu wrote.

Several publications this week claimed that Odinga is working on a political game plan bringing on board Ngunjiri Wambugu, Rachel Shebesh, Sabina Chege, Priscilla Nyokabi and Anne Waiguru.

From DP Ruto’s Rift Valley home turf, Isaac Ruto, Franklin Bett and Joshua Kuttuny are among those reported to be keen on working with Odinga.
