On Wednesday, the ODM Director of Elections and Suna East MP Junet Mohamed announced in parliament that Musyoka will remain in the NASA list of members to be nominated to EALA.
Mohamed also disclosed that NASA leader Raila Odinga's elder brother Oburu Odinga will also be in the NASA list.
“Mr Speaker the name of Kennedy Musyoka and Dr Oburu Odinga must be in that list, so this house should support them” Junet said.
In June, parliament failed to agree over the list of nominees just before the 11th parliament adjourned.
The Jubilee legilators led by National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale ganged up to reject the two names when they are presented to parliament for approval.
“ODM and Wiper are huge parties. We will not allow Raila and Kalonzo to reward their brothers and sons. This is the kind of leadership Kenyans should expect if Raila becomes the President,” Duale said.
Kenya has been allocated nine slots in the EALA.
In the 11th parliament, Jubilee had five slots while the opposition had four.
However, Duale has said that Jubilee will have to be given six slots since Jubilee had gained more numbers in the 12th Parliament.
The declaration was immediately rejected by Mohamed who said nothing has changed much in terms of numbers hence the opposition will still have its four slots.
“The dynamics have not changed much for jubilee to demand for six slots, actually more members made it to parliament as independent candidates,” Junet said.
