Babu was among NASA leaders who were taken into custody by police officers along Ngong as they were headed to Kibra for a rally.
Former Starehe aspiring MP Steve Mbogo and Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang were also arrested and taken to Kilimani Police Station.
It is not clear why they were arrested.

This comes after police cordoned off Jamhuri grounds in Kibra where the Opposition resorted to hold a rally after their first location, Kamkunji Grounds, was blocked.
