Wavinya Ndeti’s bold statement to Governor Mutua after his win was nullified

Wiper Gubernatorial candidate Wavinya Ndeti has made a bold statement moments after the Court of Appeal nullified Governor Alfred Mutuas victory.

Wavinya challenged Mutua not to waste time and go to the ground for them to square it out.

"Machakos people are ready and I want my opponent to know that we should not waste any time. I have been very patient. The ruling has been done. The judges have done their work and Mutua should just take it as it is He can go to Supreme Court but I will go to God who is the most supreme," Wavinya declared outside the Court of Appeal to a resounding roar from our supporters.

An emotional Wavinya termed the victory as not just hers but for the people of Machakos.

"Nilisema Yaliyo ndwele Sipite na mimi sina ubaya na mtu tushikane pamoja tufanyie kazi watu wa Machakos. Mutua asiogope turudi kwa debe watu wa Machakos waamue," she stated.

The Court of Appeal ruled that his election on August 8 did not meet the constitutional standards.

Mutua's win was initially contested at the High Court which ruled in his favour.
