MPs take action after Sonko was undermined at Uhuru’s event

MPs issue demand, threaten to expose cartel in the executive frustrating Sonko

A team of legislators have swung into action following yesterday’s drama in which Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko thwarted what he saw as efforts to undermine him.

Led by Waithaka MCA Anthony Karanja, the leaders are now demanding an immediate appology from Environment CS Keriako Tobiko.

Nairobi County is not able to perform well because of the frustrations by the section of the Executive, but we are now not going to allow them,” Karanja said.

The MCAs further threatened to expose the behind the scene schemes to frustrate Sonko and ensure that his administration fails to deliver.

His sentiments were echoed by Mlango-Kubwa MCA Patricia Mutheu who noted that even if some leaders do not respect Governor Sonko, his office ought to be respected.
