Miguna reveals why he was deported wearing slippers

Dramatic turn of events

Canadian-based Kenyan lawyer Miguna Miguna has now offered an explanation on why he was wearing red slippers on the

The self-declared NRM General revealed that the decision to put him on the KLM flight was made at the last minute and did not accord him the chance to prepare or even respond to the allegations that he was not a Kenyan citizen.

He explained that after being arraigned at the Kajiado Law Courts on Tuesday, the security officers took him to the Inland Container Police Station – even though the High Court had ordered that he be presented before judge Luka Kimaru.

The lawyer further revealed that he was treated well at the Inland Contained Police Station and even requested for slippers since his feet had swollen from the many hours he was kept standing.

The OCS had also given him a chair, access to newspapers, and had even asked Miguna to order his food of choice. The NRM general requested for fish, Ugali and Kienyeji vegetables.

“As I prepared to eat the delicious wet fried fish, ugali and vegetables the nice female OCS had ordered for me; my first meal of the day, the hoodlums ordered that “we leave now!”

“They drove off at extremely high speeds towards Mombasa road, made sharp illegal right turns as Kiprotich stopped the oncoming traffic – wielding an assault rifle and a badge! It was the first time I realized that they were taking me to the airport,” Miguna narrated from Canada.

He was given his passport and phone before being forcefully taken to the aircraft. All this time, he was still in his red slippers that would later become a subject of online jokes.
