Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti on Thursday angered MPs after he was spotted in Parliament but failed to appear before a parliamentary committee that had summoned him.
The education committee of the National Assembly had summoned Kinoti to shed more light on the the rape incident reported at Moi Girls High School.
No explanation was offered for the DCI's absence from the committee grilling session.
MPs have in the past clashed with officers in the ministry of Interior after several high-ranking officials, led by CS Fred Matiang'i, over failure to honor various summons issued by house committees.
