Morris Muchiri Nyaga alias Collo has made an appeal to President Uhuru to gift Kirimari residents, whom he leads with a fire engine. He believes that its time the president gives back after he spent money from his pocket to campaign for him ahead of the August 8 polls.
Collo stated that he bought the ambulance as a fulfilment of the promises he made to Kirimari residents. Reports had been doing rounds that the MCA purchased the ambulance so as to build a name for himself ahead of the 2022 elections, a notion which the MCA rubbished.
While speaking to Citizen TV the MCA said he will focus the on delivering his pledge to the people of Kirimari just as he has started because it is a vow he made to the people in his manifesto.
Collo was quick to clarify that he procured the ambulance so as to improve health services for Kirimari residents who trusted he’ll deliver.
The lawmaker disclosed that he earns a salary of Ksh 144, 000 and gives Sh. 100,000 from it to charity. Morris chips out money from his pocket to pay nurses and drivers in-charge of the ambulance.
He said,”Leadership is not all about education. I am not highly educated but I am doing so well compared to a section of other senators in the country. I hold a diploma in Public relations. According to be, service delivery to the electorate is key.”
