What Peter Kenneth did Today after UN Official said he was better than Sonko

Sonko vs Peter Kenneth

Former Nairobi Governor aspirant Peter Kenneth has been silent after the 2017 General Election when arch-rival Mike Sonko beat him at the polls.

On Wednesday night, however, his name was revived by UN Trade chief Mukhisa Kituyi during an interview on Jeff Koinange Live show (JKL).

Mr. Kituyi, who was commenting on the current deplorable conditions in Nairobi, praised Kenneth noting that he was a better candidate compared to Mr. Sonko.

"It’s not up to me to tell people of Nairobi who they should have but I have stated my position before the election. I thought Peter Kenneth was very good to be governor for Nairobi and nothing has happened since the election period that has proven me wrong," he said.

The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Secretary General's comment hit headlines and remained the top conversation for the better part of Thursday.

In a clever yet silent way, Kenneth re-tweeted a story by Nation titled: “Sonko the wrong choice for Nairobi, Peter Kenneth was better – UN official”.

His retweet attracted reactions from the public who appeared to agree with Mr. Kituyi’s sentiments.

However some seemed not to agree with the UN trade chief.
