Murkomen speaks on new political realignments as ODM seeks to kick out Wetangula

Murkomen discloses why ODM wants Wetangula out

Addressing the public at St Patrick’s High School, Murkomen divulged that Wetangula is a casualty of political realignments taking shape ahead of 2022.

Referring to the surprise unity pact between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition boss Raila Odinga, Murkomen stated that “I sympthatise with Wetang'ula because he is the casualty of that handshake between the President and Raila”.

On 15 March, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) wrote to the Senate seeking to replace Moses Wetangula with James Orengo as the Minority leader in the Senate.

Hinting at confidential details of the pact that and political realignments, Murkomen divulged that  the deal “increases Ruto’s chances of succeeding Uhuru” adding that those who think that the deal is a blow to Ruto’s 2022 bid are “speaking out of ignorance since they are not privy to discussions between Uhuru and Raila”.

He urged President Kenyatta to grant audience to other NASA principals who had sought to meet him. “You are our President ... I appeal to you to also open your doors to Kalonzo, Wetung'ula and Mudavadi. It is good for everyone to get the President’s handshake”.

Wetangula, Musyoka and Mudavadi who were kept in the dark and only came to learn of the Raila-Uhuru deal in the media have since requested to meet the president for discussions.
