The Nairobi Business Community on Wednesday announced new changes to its group that will affect its leadership structure, political affiliations and operations going forward.
The group disclosed plans to change its name to Jubilee Business Community.
It further said that it will now extend its jurisdiction to the city estates and not just the Central Business District.
The community first appeared last month when they vowed to come out in large numbers within the CBD to counter NASA supporters, who they accused of plans to destroy their investments.
Their members have since clashed severally with NASA supporters in the city over the electoral reforms ahead of the repeat October 26 elections.
The group last week held a meeting at the Uhuru Park grounds which sent social media abuzz with their dress code.
Many questioned the group's attire which bore a striking resemblance to the military uniform.
Kenyans said their dressing violated sections of the National Police Service Act and Kenya Defence Forces Act.
The grouping also raised eyebrows over their physical appearance and utterances during press conferences, with many questioning their credentials and motive as Kenyans questioned the group’s identity.
The group defended their dreadlocks, saying it was simply a hairstyle.
