Bodyguard to Uhuru's CAS shot dead

The driver was killed at civil servants' quarters in Kariobangi South, Nairobi.

Buruburu Police boss, Geoffrey Mayek, confirmed the incident that the driver had dropped the CAS at his Nairobi residence and drove the government vehicle to his house in at around 9.45 pm where he was shot.

Witnesses said that after parking his car, Obure's driver was ambushed by unknown people who were on motorbikes and demanded his gun.

It is said that he was unable to produce his firearm, after which the gunmen shot him several times. He died on the spot.

Police are pursuing the killers and carrying out investigations to establish their motive.
