Police officers have been using pseudo social media accounts such as Hessy wa Dandora and Hessy wa Kayole to warn the members of criminal gangs to stop engaging in criminal activities.

Sparked by the killings of teenage gang members, Claire Njoki and Marsha Minaj, the manner in which the situation is being handled has been openly revealed through social media sites such as Facebook and Whatsapp, where photos of deceased gang members have been circulating in a bid to curb crime within these communities.

The new ‘strategy’ being used by the police behind the Facebook accounts is reportedly to show members of the criminal gangs the consequences they will face if they do not stop, if a recent quote from the pseudo Facebook account Hessy wa Dandora is anything to go by.
