Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko caused drama at a Nakuru hotel after he allegedly forced hotel staff serving him breakfast to taste his food to confirm its safety before he could eat it.

The manager and staff at the hotel were baffled when the governor who spent the night at the hotel declined to take his breakfast and ordered that they should first to take two mouthfuls in front of him.
An eye-witness who was present as the whole drama unfolded told The Standard that “The hotel chef and manager had to take two mouthfuls in front of him before to confirm the food was safe”.
Earlier, the governor brought Nakuru to a stand-still with his convoy snaking through the streets in a show of might.

The convoy was led by convoy led by a Mercedes Benz chase bearing Nairobi county government registration numbers with police lights mounted on top in total resemblance to police chase cars.
In his convoy were two Landcruiser V8s, a Lexus LX 570 and a Nissan Patrol Platinum V8 followed by four other double cabin pick-up trucks mounted with public address systems.

A mini-fire engine belonging Nairobi County Government.was also part of his convoy. It was not immediately clear why he opted to travel with the fire engine in tow.

Curious onlookers lined the streets to witness the display of opulence and what money and power brings with it as Sonko made his way to the hotel.

Reports indicate that it is from the confines of the hotel that the governor launched a scathing attack on Senator Isaack Mwwaura and MP Millie Odhiambo who faulted him for the manner in which he handled the drama surrounding the late Kibra MP Ken Okoth’s relationship with nominated MCA Anne Muthoni Thumbi.
In an explosive post on Facebook, Sonko told off the two legislators saying that if telling the truth was looking for favour from the masses as they claimed, then it was okay.

The Nairobi Governor stated that Millie Odhiambo was pretending to care yet she was on the front-line denying children of a late Senator’s second wife.
He went on to say that the habit of elected leaders having extramarital affairs with young ladies and disappearing after getting them pregnant must be stopped, calling on male leaders to use protection if they are not ready to have children with their ‘mpango wa kandos’
He went on to give his contacts calling on women who have been impregnated by politicians, civil servants and business men to send their details so that they can be exposed.
