PS Omollo’s explosive dossier exposes the big names in NYS scandal

Details of the meeting to get NYS millions that took place in Muthaiga during Raila's meeting with Kibaki

A self-recorded statement by suspended Youth PS Lilian Omollo has revealed powerful forces behind the multibillion NYS scandal amidst concerns that the real big fish in the scandal are still walking free.

The dossier dated 02 May details the extensive involvement of Uhuru Kenyatta’s uncle Gathecha Muhoho with Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua facilitating a meeting between the PS and agents acting on behalf of companies owned by Kenyatta’s uncle.

A behind the scenes meeting on April 20 during the famous meeting between retired President Mwai Kibaki and Raila Odinga at Muthaiga and which was also attended by Joseph Kinyua saw a man identified as Githinji push for payments in amounting to millions to be paid to a company owned by Muhoho namely Petro Kenya and Horizon group of companies.

The Saturday Standard reported that documents that have been handed over to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation questions the existence of high profile suspects that the state is not keen on prosecuting, high level power play and an extortion ring in which suspects have paid millions of shillings to shield them from prosecution.

One suspect revealed that “Every time you refused or were slow to release the money demanded, you would be called to record another statement”.

Controversial businessman Ben Gethi who featured in the first NYS scandal is also another familiar face in the current NYS scandal.

Also drawn into the scandal is flamboyant businessman Gor Semelango.

The scandal has seen the opposition led by Moses Wetangula hit out at the state for not going for the real big fish in the scandal that has seen several state officers sent home.
