Raila leaves Kenya for 1 week international tour

Uhuru is also expected to leave the country any time from now

Odinga left Nairobi, just two days after returning from Tanzania where he attended the burial of Tanzanian President John Magufuli’s sister, Monica Joseph Magufuli.

On Thursday, he attended a function at State House where his wife Ida was feted by President Uhuru Kenyatta for her role in promoting leadership.

It was not immediately clear the nature of Odinga’s visit to Germany but the former Prime Minister has a personal and political connection to the country – having schooled there.

President Kenyatta is also expected to leave the country ahead of a White House meeting with US President Donald Trump, scheduled for Sunday.
