You're the secretary in that plan - MP Oscar Sudi

Oscar Sudi says DP Ruto's problems are caused by Nancy Gitau, President Uhuru Kenyatta's political strategist

Kapsaret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi on Wednesday named President Uhuru Kenyatta's Political Strategist Nancy Gitau as one of the two people behind Deputy President William Ruto's woes.

Sudi claimed that Ms Gitau along with Interior PS Karanja Kibicho are the main culprits in engineering the letter on DP Ruto's alleged assassination.

The legislator asserted that video clips from La Mada Hotel would prove that the two are were at the meeting where DP Ruto's assassination was allegedly discussed.

"I'd like to tell the chairman [PS Kibicho] and the secretary of that meeting, Nancy Gitau who say they were at La Mada discussing the country's development, that we know better. Nancy Gitau does not even hold a government office for her to claim that she was discussing development!" the Kapsaret MP claimed.

He added: "Let them know that no matter how many people they arrest and how many they plan to assassinate, our vision [come 2022] will not change."

Ms Gitau has been an integral part of President Kenyatta's administration and led his campaign for re-election in 2017.

The vocal MP allied to DP Ruto was speaking at the Milimani Law Courts just moments after government official Dennis Itumbi was released on bail.

MP Sudi compared Itumbi's troubles to those of outspoken lawyer Miguna Miguna who was accused of treason after swearing in Opposition leader Raila Odinga as the people's president.

"These [charges against Dennis itumbi] do not even come close to what Miguna Miguna was deported for, and I'd like to ask my friends and fellow Kenyans that after this, let's fight for Miguna Miguna to come back to Kenya," he stated.
