Uhuru makes new appointments after meeting Raila, Junet's brother among appointees

Full list

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday nominated new principal secretaries, Chief Administrative Secretaries (CAS) and ambassadors a few days after meeting NASA leader Raila Odinga.

Among those nominated is Suna East MP Junet Mohamed's brother-in-law Hassan Noor Hassan who will be the CAS in the Ministry of Sports.

Junet is a close ally to Odinga and was the only politician who accompanied Odinga to the Friday meeting the President Kenyatta.

However, Junet's brother in law is a Jubilee point man in his own right, having contested the Mandera gubernatorial seat on the Economic Freedom Party which is an affiliate of the Jubilee coalition.
