It has now emerged that Deputy President William Ruto on Thursday flew to Muranga after he was blocked from meeting former President Daniel arap Moi.
Ruto flew to Gatanga in Murang'a for a funeral service of the late John Gichia Macharia - son to Royal Media Services Chairman S.K Macharia.
Also at the funeral was Nasa Leader Raila Odinga with the two leaders having another face-to-face meeting despite their political differences.
Former Presidential candidate Peter Kenneth was also at the private funeral service that was attended by close family and friends of the Macharia family.
Ruto and Odinga last month met, after a months of political hostility, at the funeral of the late Kenneth Matiba.
Odinga, who travelled by road, was at some point forced to stop and address a crowd of locals who wanted him to greet them.
He made a brief address and donated by some money to some of the children who warmly received him with cheers and ululations.
