Orengo reveals names of top government officials working against Raila-Uhuru peace pact

Orengo spoke in Siaya

Siaya Senator James Orengo has revealed names of top government officials who are working against President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga’s Harambee house agreement.

According to the Star, Orengo has accused Head of Civil Service Joseph Kinyua and Interior CS Fred Matiang’i of undermining the Raila-Uhuru unity pact after state officials disobeyed court orders requiring them to produce deported NRM General Miguna Miguna in court.

The vocal senator said that the new found relationship between Uhuru and Raila must be guided by the law and everyone must obey court orders and stop creating unease among Raila's supporters.

He added that Raila's wish is to bring peace and the whole country must rally behind the pact for prosperity.

His sentiments come in the wake of reports that a section of opposition politicians and supporters had expressed discontent with the pact following the detention and second deportation of self-declared NRM general Miguna Miguna.
