Raila's adviser reveals worrying details about 2022

Ruto vs Raila?

NASA leader Raila Odingas long-serving aide Salim Lone has raised rather worrying details on the integrity of the election expected to be held in 2022.

In a lengthy media statement, Lone predicted that the 2022 election would be blatantly rigged and would have little hope of reflecting the will of the people.

Odinga's adviser stated that the quest for electoral justice started after the chaotic 2007 election had not achieved any meaningful results.

He stated that after the post-election violence that resulted from the shambolic elections had led the push for a new constitution which was promulgated in 2010.

Lone stated that the new constitution had failed to achieve the dreams of a fair election both in the 2013 and 2017 elections hence fears that the situation would get worse in 2022.

"If that powerful Constitution failed to prevent much worse election rigging, state brutality and gross abuse of the rule of law, telling Kenyans now to work for reforms for a fair election in 2022 is totally tenable."

"Indeed, that election’s outcome will be even more predetermined than in the 2013 and 2017 elections," Lone stated.

Odinga's adviser also touched on the NASA internal wrangles which he admitted would pose a challenge in the quest for electoral justice, but at the same time warned that the majority of supporters would stick with the former Prime Minister.
