Uhuru addresses media reports of Cabinet reshuffle

This is what Uhuru has to say

The President made an off-the-cuff meeting during an official function in Mombasa, where he added that he was returning to Mombasa to end “speculation” on what he had been up to.

“I would have loved to stay longer and listen to a few presentations, but I have to go back to Nairobi. I have been in Mombasa for two weeks and there has been too much speculation on why I am here, so wacha nirudi Nairobi ndio wawache mambo ya speculation (so let me return to Nairobi so that they stop speculating)," President Kenyatta stated.

He spoke while addressing the 10th African Principals Confederation at Pride Inn Hotel in Mombasa.

The press had reported that Kenyatta held private talks with ODM leader Raila Odinga and Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho.

It was also during the two-week trip that the President flew to Nakuru where he met former President Daniel arap Moi while on his way to a funeral in the same county.

State House spokesman Kanze Dena, on Monday denied that the President’s visit had anything to do with a Cabinet reshuffle, saying President Kenyatta was supervising government projects in the region.
