State House official reveals new information on reports of Uhuru and Ruto Split
This came after a Nation journalist was threatened
Dennis Itumbi, who works as the Director of Digital Communication in the Presidential Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU), poked numerous holes in the story that reported the alleged split between the two Jubilee leaders.
False reports
Itumbi noted to contrary to the story published by Nation, Ruto was not in State House on December 23.
The PSCU director further stated that Nation journalist Justus Wanga had lied about reports of KBC journalists being delayed at the State House gate.
Wanga had quoted anonymous sources indicating that the KBC reporters were delayed given that some senior State House officials had not been informed of the reshuffle.
Controversial story
Itumbi further disputed claims that the DP was at the Harambee House Annex offices on the day that President Kenyatta named part of his cabinet.
The PSCU director, however, did not dispute some of the detailed information in the controversial story.
The story had claimed that Ruto failed to go to State House for the press conference given that he was informed of the changes at the last minute.
