Cyprian Nyakundi starts radical Twitter movement after Uhuru’s lifestyle audit plan

Who will be in the list?

If you are in the corporate world you probably cringe just at the mention of blogger Cyprian Nyakundi’s name. If not then you are in his good books or your company is not big or corrupt enough to warrant his attention.

On Friday, the popular blogger announced a radical Twitter movement meant to expose high ranking officials in Government and the corporate world.

This comes a day after President Uhuru Kenyatta declared that all Government official sincluding himself will undergo a lifestyle audit.

Under the hashtag #WeKnowYourSalary, Nyakundi wants Kenyans to join in the lifestyle auditing process by posting images of property and assets owned by Government officials and high-ranking individuals in the corporate world.

The campaign is set to start next week and his post has already gained huge traction on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Nairobi City lawyer Donald Kipkorir proposed the formation of  a committee to conduct the lifestyle audit.

In his proposal, Mr. Kipkorir wants Nyakundi alias Boy child President, lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi and activist Boniface Mwangi to be members of the committee. The three have been radical on Twitter criticising corruption.

Mr. Kenyatta announced the lifestyle audit plan during his tour in Mombasa, where he was presiding over the official opening of the Dongo Kundu bypass.

"Those found culpable will be taken to where they belong - in prison," the Head of State said.

He emphasized that the fight against corruption must be won.
