However, in the exclusive interview on Citizen TV, Mr. Odinga bluntly evaded delving into four controversial topics that have since been of great public interest after the handshake.
The first topic the Opposition chief refused to discuss was the predicament of self-declared NRM general Miguna Miguna, who was deported to Canada after he swore Mr. Odinga in as the People’s President.

The former Prime Minister stated that he will not talk about Miguna accusing the lawyer of treating him badly despite the many times he (Raila) has purportedly shown good will.
“Please, I do not want to talk about one Miguna Miguna. You have seen what I have done for Miguna and you know how he has treated me and the kind of things he has said about me. I do not want to talk about Miguna Miguna,” he said with finality.
The Canadian-based lawyer is on record sharply criticizing Odinga and he even wrote a book titled: Peeling back the Mask to paint a picture of Odinga as a betrayer and incompetent leader.
Secondly, Odinga was put on the spot to divulge whether he will be on the Presidential ballot box during the 2022 General Election but he vehemently refused to give an answer.
“I do not want to talk about 2022. Tell me about 2017 I was a candidate,” he said while shaking his head to show refusal.

The third discussion Odinga refused to hold was one touching on Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula’s comments that NASA was a moribund Alliance and he (Raila) was a dictator who ordered his removal as the Senate Minority leader.
“I do not want to discuss Honorable Moses Wetangula in this interview except to say that he is entitled to his views,” he said.
Nonetheless, the ODM leader defended himself noting that Wetangula’s removal from the Senate leadership was a decision he was unable to influence as the Senators had already resolved on what they wanted to do.
Last month, Mr. Wetangula publicly declared that NASA was dead and went ahead to accuse Odinga of being a betrayer for sidelining his Principals.
Fourthly, Mr. Odinga avoided delving into what transpired behind the scenes during his controversial swearing-in on January 30.

The Opposition chief has been accused of deceiving his NASA Principals – Mr. Wetangula, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, and ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi.
However, during the interview, Mr. Odinga dismissed the rampant tales told trying to explain why he was the only Principal present at Uhuru Park to take the oath. He noted that anyone who wanted to be there was there.
"The 30 January was cast on stone and every Kenyan knew that the NASA fraternity was congregating at Uhuru Park for the function. I do want to be blamed that I was going to call somebody. Those are excuses.
“I do not want to go into details but the fact is that those who wanted to come came and those who did not want to be stayed away,” he said.
