Mt Kenya leaders disappoint DP Ruto after joining Moi's campaign team

Nyeri leaders drum up support for Gideon Moi

Nyeri leaders have together formed a WhatsApp group to spearhead campaigns for Moi who has already declared interest in the 2022 presidency.

The WhatsApp group dubbed ‘Gideon Moi for President’ was formed on Sunday to spearhead campaigns for the 2022 presidential race.

”We are very serious on this. More is coming. We must have a Plan B because the election of Ruto will not be automatic. We are against being forced into a 2022 marriage,” a member of the group said.

The group already has 256 members.

A group member who sought anonymity stated that they will not be coerced to support anyone and backing Ruto's bid would not be automatic

However, a section of the public from Nyeri County disagreed with the area leaders affirming their support for the DP.

The two leaders from Rift Valley don't see eye to eye and both Ruto and Moi believe that they have what it takes to clinch the seat.
