Dr Magufuli said that Uhuru had enjoyed Tanzania's wine and asked Kenyans to purchase wine from Tanzania.
"He has really enjoyed Tanzania's wine now it's possible Kenyans and even himself (Uhuru) will be ordering from here," Magufuli stated.
The Tanzanian Head of State recommended a brand named Presidential wine and wine from Dodoma which is the capital city of Tanzania.
Uhuru in Magufuli's home
President Kenyatta’s weekend visit to Tanzania was seen as possible thawing of tensions between the two neighbouring nations where East Africans also got to see the two Heads of State's softer sides.
Uhuru was hosted at Magufuli’s home in Mlimani, Chato in the northwestern region of Geita.
Magufuli described Uhuru as a close friend and offered to send some prized peacocks he has reared on his farm to Nairobi as a gift to the Kenyan leader.
Tanzanian wine production
Tanzania, despite not having an international reputation as a wine producer, is actually home to the second largest wine producing region in Sub-Saharan Africa (after South Africa).
The wines are produced in roughly broad styles and are often blends that don't describe the grape varieties used.
Besides grape wine, Tanzania makes a variety of fruit wines from mango, bananas and plums.
