President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday evening threw a State party for French President Emmanuel Macron after his arrival in Kenya.
The party which was held inside Karura Forest, was also attended by the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) Felix Tshisekedi.

During the dinner, Macron pointed out that he believed in Kenyatta’s vision for uniting Eastern Africa.
“We do believe in your strategy of building a new vision to bring peace and stability not only for Kenya but for the whole region.
“I want France to be part of your regional agenda. You are a champion of regional integration and we support you,” remarked Macron.
Macron made history by becoming the first French president to ever visit the country.
The 41-year old president revealed that France and Kenya had signed deals worth three billion Euros.
Commuter railway service from CBD to JKIA
The two leaders had earlier toured the Nairobi Central Railway Station where they informed the public of the scheduled construction of a commuter rail line that will join the CBD to JKIA.
The railway project that is expected to be finished in two years, will be facilitated with the help of various French companies.
Kenyatta had affirmed that France was an important trading partner to Kenya and the visit will help strengthen the ties more between the two nations.
