Speaking at a prayer rally in Nanyuki, Rachel Ruto pleaded with Kenyans to pardon the Government for failing to act promptly on the current crisis facing the country.
"I know some people are blaming the Government for failing to act in time to prevent a number of problems currently facing the country including food shortages and drought-related challenges.
"As a God’s servant and wife of the Deputy President, I plead with you for forgiveness,"'Rachel said.
Ms Ruto noted that it was not easy to fulfil the desires of the 45 million Kenyans.
However, she drummed support for Jubilee highlighting that the President and his deputy had brought positive changes in the country.
Th DP’s wife was joined by a host of bishops from Evangelical churches during the prayer rally dubbed Tuombeni Kenya.
Rachel organised the prayer rally and has vowed to traverse the county preaching peace ahead of the August 8 General Election.
"Ï will take a message of peace to all the counties. Iw ill urge people to desist from inciting Kenyans during the campaigns so that we can have a peaceful before and after the General Election, “ she was quoted by the Nation.
