Ruto can never be party to anything that uplifts Raila- Spokesperson hits back

Heated Raila-Ruto feud

DP William Ruto and Opposition leader Raila Odinga

Raila Odinga’s spokesperson has dismissed claims by Deputy President William Ruto that he helped the former prime minister secure a job at the African Union.

What we know and I believe all Kenyans know is that Ruto can never be party to anything that uplifts Raila Odinga. If he was party to those talks, he must have joined to stop it but failed,” Mr Onyango said.

On Sunday the DP asked Mr Odinga to focus on his infrastructure development job and stop meddling in the criminal docket to the government.

However, these remarks did not go well with a section of Raila’s allies who called out the DP via social media.

Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino told off the DP claiming that he was never part of the negotiations.

Tough talks

William Ruto should stop fooling himself, he never negotiated anything for Baba.Even if it will take us 100 years of not giving up Raila Odinga will have to be the President and Ruto the resident,” Babu Owino stated via his Twitter account.

On Sunday Dr Ruto claimed that Mr Odinga’s job description at the AU had nothing to do with whistle blowing or dealing in minerals, referring to the latter’s allegation that he blew the whistle on fake gold scam.

The DP rubbished Mr Odinga’s whistle-blowing claims, terming them as “rhetoric and propaganda” with MPs who had accompanied him asking the AU envoy to record a statement with the DCI.
