ODM party leader Raila Odinga’s daughter finally travelled back to the country after staying in South Africa for more than two months.

Rosemary Odinga silently arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Saturday accompanied by her mother, Ida. She was in SA receiving treatment.

The former Kibra parliamentary aspirant was received by a number of NASA women aspirants and women groups from the Constituency.

Ms Odinga was taken ill in February and was rushed to Aga Khan hospital and later transferred to Nairobi hospital.

Medical reports indicated that she had developed a non-cancerous tumor that was causing pressure to her brain.

She was then flown to South Africa for further treatment.

Following her medical condition,, the former Prime Minister’s daughter decided to bow out of the August 8 General Election following advice from her doctors.

“It is following my doctor’s advice, that for the time being, I will continue serving my community in other capacities and regrettably bow out of the race for Member of Parliament,”Rosemary said from South Africa.
