Margaret Wambui, sister of Kenya's president dies at 89

Kenyas president, Uhuru Kenyatta, has mourned the passing of his step sister, Margaret Wambui, who died at the age of 89.

Standard Media News reported that the deceased kicked the bucket on Wednesday, March 5, 2017 at her Lavington residence located in a suburb of Nairobi, Kenya.

Wambui is the first daughter and second child of President Jomo Kenyatta, a former Prime Minister of the country who served in office from December 12, 1964 to August 22, 1978.

Before her death, Wambui served as the Mayor of Nairobi from the year 1970 to 1976. She was the first Kenyan woman to be accommodated in that role.
