United States ambassador Kyle McCarter has said that his nation's government will support the BBI report.
Mr McCarter said the report was a good document that will make Kenya more united once its recommendations are implemented.
“The United States is a great friend of Kenya and although I do not agree with all details in the BBI, the USA fully supports it for Kenya to remain a united country," he said.
Ambassador McCarter was speaking in Kapsabet, Nandi County on Monday where he was inspected development projects.
Clerics call on BBI
Church leaders in Nandi have urged the government to make copies of the report available to Kenyans from all walks of life.
The clerics have also warned politicians against using it to divide the people ahead of the next general election in 2022.
Anglican Church of Kenya bishops, Paul Korir and Emmanuel Kimengich said Kenya was heading in the wrong direction if politicians take hard-line positions on the BBI report.
Reports have also intimated that the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report will be subjected to a second round of public participation.
