The offences, he noted, contravened Sections 172 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Section 172 stipulates three years for serious assault, while Section  411 provides two years for conspiracy.

The accused, however, denied the charges.

The Magistrate, Mrs M.O. Osibajo, granted bail to the accused in the sum of N100,000 and two sureties in like sum.

Osibajo said the sureties must be gainfully employed and also reside within the court’s jurisdiction.

In addition, the sureties are required to show evidence of tax payment to the Lagos State Government.

She adjourned the case until May 15 for mention.
