Police finds mermaid at lake and her name is 'Joanna'

The mermaid, Joanna did not seem to remember anything about herself when police officers found her near a lake.

The Fresno Police Department, California have stumbled on a woman, Joanna, with a web foot who claimed to be a mermaid and required their help.

Mirror UK News reported that she was found wet near a lake in the early morning of Tuesday, April 4, 2017.

"She was wet, she said she had been in the lake, said she needed help and needed to be taken to the hospital," police spokesperson, Lt. Mark Hudson stated.

No information was available concerning her identity as a test of her finger print did not yield any result.

The police have put out an image of the so-called mermaid so that anyone who has any helpful detail of Joanna can contact them.

Karon Renwick, who resides in Friant, California where the woman was found didn't seem surprised by the incident.

According to him, the development is one of many strange occurrences the community have been experiencing.
