14-yr-old girl slashes alleged rapist’s manhood with razor

The magistrate, Hajiya Fadile Dikko adjourned the case till July 19, 2017 but remanded Bishir in police custody.

Sodomy is becoming rampant in the country

In a report by Punch, the alleged rapist who resides in Yargase village in the Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State, was arraigned before a Senior Magistrate’s Court on a rape charge.

It was further reported that sometime in May, Bishir had allegedly lured the young girl, who was residing in the same house with him, into a nearby uncompleted building and “forcefully had unlawful sexual intercourse with her.”

The police also revealed that through the First Information Report with number, KT/741X/17, the victim, “while struggling to free herself from the suspect, picked up a razor and cut his manhood.”

During the trial, the police prosecutor, Inspector Kabir Mohammed, pleaded that the case be adjourned till another date, as investigation was still in progress.

The request was granted by magistrate, Hajiya Fadile Dikko, who adjourned the case till July 19, 2017 but remanded Bishir in police custody.

She said, “This court will not ask you whether the allegation read and explained to you is true or false as the offence of rape will be tried at a high court.

“After police investigation, your case file will be taken to the Ministry of Justice for legal advice. If a prima facie case is established against you, then you will be tried at the high court.”
