Thirty-one year old Peace Agbemafo resorted to committing suicide after getting jilted a second time.
According to reports, the deceased who was getting jilted for the second time committed suicide in the early morning of Monday, April 24, 2017.
ASP Alexander Tieku, a District Police Commander (DPC) stationed at Garu-Tempane, the upper east region of northern Ghana confirmed the incident in a chat with News Ghana.
“This is about the second time she has been jilted by someone. Somebody promised to marry her but later disappointed her and she killed herself.
“We have informed the family and we are waiting for them to come so we conduct the post mortem and convey the body to the police hospital mortuary in Accra for preservation," said the DPC.
Her body was discovered following a call to the police by Haruna Abdul Fataw, the General Manager of GNBank who wanted a new police officer due to her failure to show up for work.
She was found in a pool of blood at her residence close to the police station.
