The Kenyan national team, Harambee stars is in its final preparation ahead of their friendly match against Mozambique to be played at Safaricom stadium Kasasani tomorrow on Nov 12, 2016.

The stars hope to use the game as a litmus test for the upcoming Cecafa senior challenge cup to be held in Kenya in December.

Kenya has recently had a string of success and hope their luck does not run out soon. The recent  impressive results has seen the team move six places up in the latest Fifa ranking which was released on the month of October.

Kenya is currently at position 85 globally having risen from position 91 as per the previous ranking.

This improvement is thanks to their impressive win against DR Congo during their friendly played on October where the Sweden based striker, Michael Olunga scored the solitary goal.

Harambee stars squad will be led by Tottenham hotspurs midfielder Victor wanyama who called out his teammates to have a strong mental focus.

“It’s good that we are improving in ranking but, we need to focus more on building a winning team and have a strong foundation for the future,”  Wanyama said according to a report by citizen digital.

Harambee Stars coach Stanley Okumbi is confident his team will prevail and hopes to use the friendly match to further build up his squad ahead of future international games.

Mozambique side will be led by former Liverpool star defender Abel Xavier.

Kenya is set to play another friendly against Liberia on Tuesday.
